Release notes & the occasional note from the field.

v1.1.1 — security hardening, MIT license, automated releases

Four CodeQL alerts closed: path-traversal defense on resolveOutputPath() and the download handler, plus express-rate-limit on the loopback conversion and download endpoints. LocalPix is now formally MIT-licensed, and a new GitHub Actions workflow turns a v* tag into a draft release with macOS and Windows artifacts attached.

v1.1 — JPEG XL, one decode path, fewer dependencies

JPEG XL input and output land. The conversion engine consolidates around a single magick-wasm path for everything sharp doesn't handle natively — four direct dependencies removed, ~70 formats unlocked behind one dispatch entry. Metadata controls and a Preserve color profile toggle join the privacy section.

v1.0 — LocalPix replaces LocalConvert

The first release under the LocalPix name. Local, offline image conversion for macOS and Windows; ten input formats, eight output formats; dark mode, segmented format selector, batch convert, user-selectable output folder. The renamed version of what used to be LocalConvert (and before that, WEBPConvert).

Release posts on this page are auto-synced from the GitHub releases page. For an RSS reader, drop in the repo's release feed — you'll know the moment a new version lands.
